"Winter Gatherings" is a piece that I made for a good friend of mine who loves hosting people for dinner. One winter, he started hosting regular soup dinners, and then decided that he wanted to make 30 individual soups that season, and have them all with friends. Several people got involved with the weekly soup nights, and were all dedicated to reaching 30 soups together. That winter culminated with a multi-soup potluck, and about 25 people squeezed into a tinny apartment. It was a beautiful and fun way to build community during a season that makes a lot of people feel isolated.
