"Goodbye August" is one of the first screen prints I made while I was learning the process. I love sunflowers, and I think of them as the pinnacle of summer. Because they are so representative of summer as a whole for me, I forget each year that they don't actually bloom until later in the season, and so they signal a transition between seasons, more than the peak of the growing season.
